The Process
Every application is catered to your individual needs and desires, so treatment time will vary based on the severity of the teeth and their positioning at the start. The process is similar for all patients. The aligner trays, made from thermoplastic, are designed to shift the teeth towards the desired position gradually, as a result of switching trays approximately every two weeks. Some patients require more weeks and tray switches than others, so overall results will take shape based upon the patient, from five months to a year, on average, for completion.
During the first appointment, we will take intraoral photos and they will be sent to the Invisalign® labs for assessment and a personalized plan of action. They will provide a prediction of how the teeth will appear once the process is finished. When the aligners are created, they will be sent back to our offices and Dr. Kaiser will instruct you on how to use the trays, for how long, and so forth.
Comfort and Quality
Invisalign® clear braces fit comfortably over the teeth and are made from durable, yet flexible material. They won’t interfere with your everyday activities or sleep, since it is recommended to keep them in the mouth for about 22 hours per day. Take them out for eating and brushing/flossing. Unlike metal braces, these aligners won’t irritate the soft tissues inside the mouth or the lips. They are smooth and non-abrasive.
