Do I need to arrive early for my appointment? Why?

At Park Dental, we strive to stay on schedule and ask that our patients make every effort to arrive on time for appointments. A courtesy call is always greatly appreciated if you suspect that you may be running late. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we will do our best to accommodate you, but do reserve the right to schedule an additional appointment at a later date to complete the needed treatment. If you need to reschedule an appointment, please contact our office at least 48 business hours before that appointment to do so.

How long will a cleaning appointment last?

Routine hygiene appointments generally range form 45-60 minutes. There are patients, however, who will require more time should they require periodontal hygiene procedures.

How frequently do I need to see the dentist for preventative care?

It is recommended to see your dentist 1-2 times per year for an exam to check for any problems in the teeth and gums. Some patients who are more at risk for dental problems will benefit from more frequent dental visits.

Can certain procedures be performed in the office or do I need to go to special location?

Our in-office restorative solutions include composite fillings, root canal therapy, inlay and onlay restorations, crowns, dentures, partial dentures, and fixed bridges. In some instances, our patients will be referred out for complex procedures such as extractions, implants, etc.

Should I avoid certain foods after a procedure?

Any food or drink that is high in acid like tomatoes, citrus fruits, pickles, fruit juice and red wine are harsh on your mouth after a dental cleaning. Spicy and heavily seasoned foods may also cause your mouth some discomfort.

What is the best way to maintain my teeth?

We recommend you brush twice daily with a fluoride toothpaste, floss at least once a day, consider a mouthwash, do not smoke, limit your consumption of sugary/starchy foods, and see a dentist regularly.

What insurance do you take?

We take all PPO insurance plans. Park Dental also offers a fantastic in-office dental discount plan that includes routine cleanings, x-rays, 15-20% off ortho/dental treatments, and one fluoride treatment.

What types of whitening are available?

Park Dental offers two whitening options: an in-office whitening procedure and a take-home whitening process.

Can I get Invisalign from my dentist or do I need to go to an orthodontist?

Our dentist is Invisalign certified. We also offer 6 Month Smiles as well as traditional orthodontic treatment.

Where are you located?

Our office is conveniently located in Winter Park next to Trinity Preparatory School.
